Nic Marks: Indexul Planetei Fericite

- 87 ani life expectancy
- 8, life satisfaction
- 1,7 amprenta ecologica
Target: HPI 89.

Rezultatele mele:
Sustainability Score
Your personal Happy Planet Index(HPI) is 68.2.
Not bad. This is above the world average of 46, but still below the target of 83, which represents a good life that doesn’t cost the Earth. There are still some ways that you can improve your score.

Life Expectancy
Hurray! Your life expectancy is 94.7, well above average for your gender.

Ecological Footprint
Your ecological footprint is 2.48 global hectares, or 1.38 planets.

Well-Being

Life Satisfaction
You reported a life satisfaction of 7

Feeling Good?
Your score today is 21

Doing Well?
Connection with others: 5
Freedom to be yourself: 4.33
Self-esteem and making a difference: 5

Tx, Ianis, it's fun smile.gif Iaca si scorurile mele:

Your personal Happy Planet Index(HPI) is 54.8.

"Congratulations. Your life expectancy is 84.4, which is above average for your gender."
Doamne fereste!

"Your ecological footprint is 4.21 global hectares, or 2.34 planets. You are using between two and three times your share of the planet's resources. This is an amount typical of people in many industrialised countries."
Oups!

"You reported a life satisfaction of 8. This is the most common response across UK and indeed all of Europe."
Yeah, right! wink.gif

"Feeling like you are good at something, and that your actions make a difference to someone or something. This is connected to an inner feeling of self-esteem and confidence."
Dupa lupte seculare... biggrin.gif

Well... no surprises there. smile.gif

"Trăim Ón cel mai bun deceniu din istoria omenirii", asa zice stirea aparuta pe site-ul Descopera, care inteleg ca preia in mare parte din materialele publicate de The Washington Post si disponibile la sectiunea Millennium Development Goals a site-ului Natiunilor Unite.

Trebuie neaparat sa-l vedeti, dureaza doar 7 minute si e foarte pitoresc, impletirea dintre naratiunea britanica si secventele surprinse face toti banii.

QUOTE
Vegetarians, and their Hezbollah-like splinter faction, the vegans, are a persistent irritant to any chef worth a damn. To me, life without veal stock, pork fat, sausage, organ meat, demi-glace, or even stinky cheese is a life not worth living. Vegetarians are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit, and an affront to all I stand for, the pure enjoyment of food. The body, these waterheads imagine, is a temple that should not be polluted by animal protein. It's healthier, they insist, though every vegetarian waiter I've worked with is brought down by any rumor of a cold. Oh, I'll accommodate them, I'll rummage around for something to feed them, for a 'vegetarian plate', if called on to do so. Fourteen dollars for a few slices of grilled eggplant and zucchini suits my food cost fine.

--Anthony Bourdain, Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, p. 70
